It may be your first time to hear about Eggah. You may think that is something a bit different from typical omelet. In contrast, it is totally different and unique. Egyptian omelet or Eggah is a traditional delicious Egyptian dish. Eggah is my favorite supper dish and I assume that you also will fall in love with it. The amazing mixture of parsley, egg and flour makes Eggah both nutritious and mouthwatering. Eggah is a healthy dish for your family. It is rich in vit A, Calcium and iron. Eggah is usually served with pita bread, but you can enjoy its taste alone.
Fortunately, Eggah is easy to make and its ingredients are simple and available.
Let me introduce to you the recipe of amazing Eggah;
Cooking time: 30 min.
Serves: 4.
Ingredients:
• 5 eggs. • 1 cup flour. • ½ cup of chopped parsley. • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil. • 1 large chopped onion. • 1 teaspoon baking soda. • ½ teaspoon salt. • ½ teaspoon red pepper. • ½ teaspoon cumin.
Preparation:
• Preheat the oven on 430° F. • In a deep pan, add the chopped onion to vegetable oil over medium high heat and cook until onion is gold brown. • Add the eggs, parsley, baking powder, salt, red pepper, cumin and flour, then stir until the mixture is homogenous. • Pour the mixture in non-stick “10×8 inch” sheet pan. • Put the pan on the oven and turn on the fan for 20 min.
