Shakshuka is popular also at Palestine, Tunisia and Morocco. However, Egyptian Shakshuka is totally different and unique. Egyptian Shakshuka is more like scrambled egg mixed with vegetables. In contrary, Palestinian Shakshuka consists of hatched eggs with tomato sauce.

Egyptian Shakshuka is light and healthy. If you need new egg recipes for breakfast, Shakshuka is the best choice for you.

Cooking time:15 min.

Ingredients:

• 5 eggs. • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil or 1 tablespoon ghee. • Small chopped onion. • 1 chopped tomato. • 1 chopped pepper. • ½ teaspoon salt or for taste. • ½ teaspoon black pepper. • ¼ teaspoon cumin. • Pinch of red pepper.

Preparation:

• In a deep pan, add oil or ghee over medium high heat. • When oil is hot, add chopped onion then cook over low heat for 1 min. • Add the chopped tomato, pepper, salt, cumin, black and red pepper then stir over low heat for 3 min.

• Add the eggs and stir for 4 min over low heat or until it is fully cooked.
