Oriental pizza; amazing stuffed pie.
Oriental pizza is a popular Egyptian pie that is served in folk restaurants. It is called pizza because it has toppings like pizza but its dough tastes like a pie not a bread as Italian pizza.
Oriental pizza's ingredients are very simple with no yeast, so it is easy and fast to prepare. Let's do it;
Ingredients for small-medium pizza:
For pizza dough:
2 ½ cup flour.
¼ cup oil.
¾ - 1 cup warm water.
Pinch of salt.
For filling:
Cooked ground beef or sausage.
For toppings:
1 tomato diced.
1 bell pepper slices.
Shredded parmesan cheese.
2 eggs.
1 tablespoon ketchup.
Olive cut in slices.
1/2 teaspoon salt.
1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
Preparation:
In a mixing bowl, mix flour, salt and oil then add warm water gradually and knead until soft dough achieved. Leave the dough to rest for 5 min.
In a deep plate mix all topping ingredients together and set it aside.
Pour some oil over the surface “this will help the dough to stretch with you” then divide the dough into four balls.
Take the first ball and pat down or roll it over oily surface until it is very thin sheet then transfer it to a non-stick sheet or oven pan. Do not worry if the dough breaks up with transferring, you can fix it at the pan. “Look at the photo below”.
Take the second ball and repeat the previous step.
Add the filling you have prepared, then add the third and fourth sheet.
Add the topping over the surface.
Preheat oven over the highest degree.
Put the sheet in the oven for 10 min then open the grill for another 5 min.
Cover the pizza for 1 min then serve it.
